First, all provisions of the Affordable Care Act, known as "Obama Care" need to be completely repealed. Allowing any portion to remain in place could bring crippling provisions back with very little effort. Enacting laws that allow for providers of healthcare insurance to compete in a free market and across state lines will offer packages that appeal to the consumer. An equitable package that benefits the insured, the insurer, and the provider alike. Government input and manipulation, through regulations, needs to be minimized. This includes provisions that do not restrict small businesses from pooling together to provide healthcare insurance for their employees or for cooperatives to pool healthcare costs.
Developing equitable solutions that allow for healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all is not "Brain Surgery!" The notion that it takes a medical doctor to come up with the answer is absolutely ridiculous, to say the least. Consider this. A medical doctor has built their practice around a business model that maximizes insurance and other payments, leveraging all aspects of possible income and maximizing profits. How then, would a doctor be best equipped to develop healthcare regulations that really work? As with many issues in Washington, It is a business solution. I am the only candidate with an MBA. I am best qualified to work on these issues in congress.
